Lois Alexander
LOIS ALEXANDER ist Tänzerin und Choreografin und lebt in Berlin. Lois schloss 2014 ihr Studium an der Juilliard School mit einem Bachelor of Fine Arts in Tanz ab und hat seitdem mit zahlreichen Choreograf*innen und Regisseur*innen gearbeitet, darunter Stijn Celis, Christoph Winkler, Romeo Castellucci, Susanne Linke und Zufit Simon. Mit ihren Choreografien lässt sich Lois von dem inspirieren, was Tina Campt als „textured identities“ beschreibt, und möchte so die verkörperte Natur von Tanz und Performance nutzen, um einen Zustand des Dazwischen und der Migration aus einer Schwarzen, feministischen Perspektive zu artikulieren. Ihre erste Soloarbeit Neptune war eine der ausgewählten Aerowaves Twenty21 Artists und tourte durch Europa als Teil des Aerowaves Network.
