Adam Russell-Jones
Adam Russell-Jones ist ein in Großbritannien geborener und in Berlin lebender Tanzkünstler. Er begann seine professionelle Ballettausbildung an der Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham und wechselte anschließend an die Royal Ballet School in London. Nach seinem Abschluss trat Adam dem Stuttgarter Ballett bei. Während seiner Zeit dort wurde er vom Deutschen Bühnenverein für den Faust-Preis in der Kategorie „Beste Darstellerleistung“ für seine Rolle in Spectre de la Rose von Marco Goecke nominiert. 2017 wechselte Russell-Jones zum Nederlands Dans Theater und später zum Staatsballett Hannover. Seit 2022 arbeitet er als freischaffender Künstler in Berlin. 2025 schuf Russell-Jones im Rahmen der Tanztage Berlin in den Sophiensælen seine erste abendfüllendes Performance, Release the Hounds, das große Anerkennung von Seiten der Kritik erhielt. Release the Hounds wurde zudem beim ImPulsTanz – Internationales Tanzfestival in Wien sowie im Southbank Centre in London gezeigt.
