CHOKA is a Latin-American collective based in Berlin, existing as a party and a platform dedicated to amplifying sounds and practices from the global south. For the closing party of the festival, Choka and Tanztage are bringing a room shaking lineup and a night of performances with ronald Berger, @nnast_antn and Matilde Bassetti + Marcos Nacar.

CHOKA co-founder and DJ Maque, is a Bolivian multidisciplinary artist who believes in the transformative power of pleasure. Her music and DJ sets are a ride for pleasure and perreo, for dancing pegadito and transforming rage into sweat, joy and sexiness. Weaving different genres with a strong bass and dembow, her sound is a hypnotizing pelvic/culo summoning.

The other half of CHOKA auto_timer, is a Brazilian DJ, producer, and experimental musician known for their dynamic and percussive sets that move freely along different sub-genres of latin bass and club music while incorporating deconstructed elements of Baile Funk, Mandelão and Bruxaria. Get ready for an intense set full of broken percussion and hard hitting bass!

And as a guest for this night XD Erica closes this lineup. She is a prolific Dj and Performer, originally from São Paulo, Brazil currently based in Berlin. As a co-founder of the Brazilian collective ‘Chernobyl’  Erica’s passion for music stems from her familial influences. She explores a spectrum of Latin peripheral music, ranging from Brazilian funk to Techno, Hard dance, and Latin Core, igniting the Latin American scene.

ronald Alonso Berger’s work dives into personal and cultural conflicts, mixing nature, sexuality, and social tensions in a unique way. Growing up in a Catholic, male-dominated culture in Costa Rica, themes of identity and resistance run deep in their performances. Their art explores the connection between nature and self-expression, while pulling from a mix of different spiritual and occult traditions. By focusing on somatic experiences and magic, their work highlights a commitment to both personal growth and collective healing.

@nnast_antn is a video and performance artist, as well as a set designer based in Berlin. From „un-professional“ production of NSFW animation to performative practice — her work revolves around the potential ways of pleasure production in an environment where #pleasure gets censored by default and (queer) desire is a subject of fear. Tirelessly she is working on a proposal of a new queer order in which the heteropatriarchal gaze gets reappropriated, and the mystical “man” behind the male gaze finally disappears.

Matilde Bassetti and Marcos Nacar have been collaborating since 2019 as Nomellores, a fluid structure for creation and research in the performing arts. Their work opens up dimensions to fantastical worlds through games of dissociative identities and storytelling, focusing on the interplay between bodies and landscapes and delving into interspecies psychodramas. They move across the virtual and the physical, reality and fiction, organic and synthetic. In this fluid world, where dichotomies crack, there is hope.
